Born and raised in New York, Alex’s early career was deeply rooted in investment banking and growth equity. However, his passion for hospitality and customer service led him to take a bold step into the coffee industry, eventually transforming XO Espresso Bar into a thriving business. Alex Schifter’s interest in business began early, eventually leading him to study finance and entrepreneurship at Tufts University. While earning his degree, he worked as a part-time barista for two years, gaining hands-on experience and developing a deep appreciation for coffee-making.
